There Are Two Main Methods of Trenchless Sewer Repair

Put simply, trenchless sewer repair is a way of replacing your pipes that does not require digging, or that requires minimum digging. There are two main methods that can be used. The first is pipe relining in which we create a seamless new pipe that’s actually located within your old pipe. Essentially, we a take a special sleeve and thread it into your pipe. It then hardens and the result is an extremely curable new sewer line with minimum disruption of your property.

The second option is pipe bursting. This is often the best option for homeowners whose sewer lines are made from clay, terra cotta, concrete, cast iron, or TVC, and that are extremely damaged. Through pipe bursting, we run a new pipe that is attached to a steel splitting head right through your old pipe. The splitting head breaks the old pipe while leaving the new one in its place.

You Will Appreciate the Many Benefits of Trenchless Sewer Repair

Of course, the main benefit of this option is that, unlike traditional methods, there is hardly any digging. Traditional methods would require that your entire yard be dug up so that we could remove the old pipes and lay down new ones. If pipe relining is the right choice, we can generally do it through your main line drain cleanout, which means we do not have to do any digging at all. If pipe bursting is the choice, then we need dig only two holes at both ends of the pipe.

When we do less digging, you get tons of benefits including faster repairs, lower costs (especially when it comes to labor costs), no damage to your lawn or landscaping, and we do not have to dig up your driveway, porch, pathways, etc. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that this method can actually cut repair costs by as much as 50%.
